Obama’s team suggests racism behind proposed Wright ad campaign

Saturday 19th of May 2012 05:02:52 AM

President Barack Obama’s supporters are raising a claim of racism to quash a proposed $10 million ad-campaign that highlights the president’s personal ties to his one-time spiritual mentor Jeremiah Wright. The pushback helps the campaign minimize Obama’s association with the controversial pastor, but it also keeps the public’s focus away from the stalled economy’s high unemployment, deficit and debt. The information campaign must be rejected by an act of “moral leadership,” the campaign claimed in a 1:35 p.m. tweet from Obama’s official Twitter account. Campaign manager Jim Messina also hinted that the proposed ad campaign — outlined today by the...

Gov. Bill Haslam signed into law today his reform of state government employment practices. The Republican governor held a signing ceremony this morning for the passage of the Tennessee Excellence Accountability and Management (TEAM) Act, one of the major components of his legislative agenda this year. Some business leaders pushed for the measure, saying it would improve regular and often expensive interactions with state government, though critics cautioned against political patronage.Lt Gov. Ron Ramsey, the Republican head of the Senate, followed the signing ceremony with a statement applauding the law. Republicans were generally supportive of the measure, though it was...

Team Obama’s Hoodies Sale Canceled After Conservative Outrage

Obama Campaign decides that hawking hoodies during Trayvon controversy is as tawdry as it appears. The sale is off— Team Obama canceled their shameless hoodie sale this past week. Yahoo reported: President Obama recently said that if he had a son, he’d look like murder victim Trayvon Martin. And in what some conservatives see as a direct connection between the national controversy surrounding the teen’s death, the Obama 2012 re-election campaign announced via Twitter on Monday that it was putting its collegiate hooded sweatshirt on sale.

President Obama’s CampaignReleases First-Ever‘Truth Team Tip Sheet’

It’s not exactly Detective Comics #27, or a first printing of the Gutenberg Bible (who knew the Police Academy movies were so rich in religious subtext?), but Friday night saw the release of the inaugural Obama For America Truth Team Tip Sheet, a collection of political bullets for supporters to fire at the watercooler, and into the social media stratosphere. Now, I just need to figure out how to get an email into a durable, acid-free plastic sleeve. The “Truth Team,” rolled out earlier this week, is this year’s version of the President’s 2008 campaign “Fight the Smears” site,

From Blogsphere: President Obama is trying to recruit a 2 million member-strong "Truth Team" to ensure that those speaking out against his administration are appropriately dealt with. I'm not kidding. The Obama campaign is today beginning a new effort to enlist and educate at least 2 million supporters for a “grassroots communications team” they’re calling the Truth Team... “The goal is to ensure that when Republicans attack President Obama’s record, grassroots supporters can take ownership of the campaign and share the facts with the undecided voters in their lives,” the campaign said in a statement. The teams will be first...

After Rick Perry’s withdrawal, histeam worked hard for New Gingrich

GREENVILLE, S.C. — After Texas Gov. Rick Perry bowed out of the presidential race last week, his senior campaign leaders in South Carolina set to work closing down the three campaign offices, collecting yard signs and dismantling staff. But their most important assignment from Perry, said state campaign chairman Katon Dawson, was to go to work immediately to help former House Speaker Newt Gingrich in his battle to upset former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in the state’s critical first-in-the South primary.

Did Obama’s Actions Put SEAL Team Six in Danger?Muslim Brotherhood in Our White House

Saturday 19th of May 2012 05:02:52 AM

New details and names have emerged regarding appointees that Obama brought into our White House who allegedly have ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. This article lays out what we have learned and calls for an immediate Congressional investigation. It is no secret that Obama has embraced an enemy that openly states their desire to destroy Western Civilization and declares “Death to America.” Obama’s perplexing actions over the course of his Presidency appear to be more aligned with the agenda of the Muslim Brotherhood and United Nations than with America’s agenda. From Obama’s illegal war in Libya with U.S. military support...

Obama team to Texas Democrats: It’s time to start attacking Rick Perry

Saturday 19th of May 2012 05:02:52 AM

Forget today’s Gallup poll. If you want a solid sign that Perry’s achieved at least parity with Romney, here it is. “Your feedback will help hold him accountable on the campaign trail, inspire fellow Texans to get involved, and introduce his record — his actual record — to voters across the country,” Hector Nieto, the campaign’s Texas director, told Texas supporters by email blast today. “Your words will remind him that even as he runs, he won’t be able to hide — a lesson he apparently hadn’t learned as recently as last week. That’s when his campaign explained that the...

MLB ponders realignment, moving NL team to AL (or could they possibly add 2 teams?)

Saturday 19th of May 2012 05:02:52 AM
Posted by admin / Under Team Australia

As Major League Baseball continues to discuss possible realignment, one idea that has come up is going to a league with 15 teams per league, reports ESPN's Buster Olney. Currently, the National League has 16 teams and the AL 14 for scheduling purposes. Should baseball go to two 15-team leagues, that would likely require interleague play every day of the season. Given baseball likes to treat interleague play as an event, that could dilute the appeal of interleague play to the point it would no longer be a moneymaker. However, there is still real resistance to the idea which has...
